New Customer Care Hours!

HOVRS, a recognized leader in video relay services and live on-site interpreting services, is pleased to announce an expansion of its Customer Care Department and its hours of operation in response to an increased demand for Customer service and technical support. The company will continue to serve its customers with the same quality that it is known for, only with expanded hours.

New HOVRS:
Monday-Friday, 4am-10pm PST
Saturday-Sunday, 7am-7pm PST

DeafNation Expo in Georgia, Atlanta

Hands On Video Relay Service, Inc. (HOVRS), a sponsor of the DeafNation Expo on Saturday, May 12, 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia, is thrilled to present the premiere of the pulse-pounding finale of the miniseries A Permanent Grave by Mosdeux.

The finale will premiere at the Atlanta DeafNation Expo, which will take place at the Georgia International Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B at 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, GA. More information about the location can be found at www.deafnation.com. Expo hours are from 9am to 6pm.

The HOVRS booth has been transformed into a movie theater so attendees may view the movie in the comfort of a theater setting. For more information on A Permanent Grave and the making of the movie, please visit www.mosdeux.com/2007/mini.

Not Purple yet? Here´s how you can become Purple:

  1. Go to www.hovrs.com/purple

  2. Fill out the form and click on the "sign up" button at the bottom to submit the form.

    3. Note for VP users: Make sure that the VP name in the form exactly matches the name in the settings of your VP. If the name on your VP machine does not match the username that you have submitted, you will be not able to activate your Purple VIP account.
After submitting the form, you will be then asked to make a relay call through HOVRS to complete the process. There are four different ways to call HOVRS and activate your Purple VIP account.

VP Users:
  1. Add "hovrs.tv" or "espanol.hovrs.tv" to the address book on your videophone.

  2. Dial "hovrs.tv" or "espanol.hovrs.tv" and make a relay call using HOVRS.

  3. Your Purple VIP account will be activated.
PC Users

  1. Go to www.hovrs.com. Click on the (PC) VideoSign® button near the bottom. Download VideoSign® 2.5 onto your computer. Follow the steps to install the program.

  2. Go to www.hovrs.com and log in, using the same username and password that you used in the Purple VIP sign up form.

  3. Make a HOVRS call from the website.

  4. Your Purple VIP account will be activated.

HovrsIM Users
  1. Add "hovrsim" to your AIM® buddylist. Your PC must have AIM® 5.5 or up, or your Mac must have iChat AV® .

  2. Send a message to the buddyname "hovrsIM". Type "login" in the message box to get started.

  3. Enter your login and password.

  4. Make a HOVRS call through hovrsIM.

  5. Your Purple VIP account will be activated.
HovrsWidget Users
  1. Go to www.hovrs.com and click on the hovrsWidget button. Download hovrsWidget on your computer.

  2. On the part of the widget that resembles a drawer, click on the icon with shape of a person.

  3. Login using the same username and password that you used on the Purple VIP sign up form.

  4. Enter the phone number in the widget and make a HOVRS call.

  5. Your Purple VIP account will be activated.
