VETERAN DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING ADVOCATE PAUL SINGLETON JOINS HANDS ON VIDEO RELAY SERVICES, INC.

ROCKLIN, CA, September 13, 2007 - Hands On Video Relay Services, Inc. is excited to announce the hiring of Paul Singleton as the company's Director of Government & Association Sales. Singleton joins Hands On VRS after a 17-year career with the U.S. government, where he ensured telecommunications and information technologies were accessible to government employees with disabilities. Singleton was active in the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which led to the formation of Telecommunications Relay Service in the U.S. In his role at Hands On VRS, Singleton will work with government agencies and deaf organizations to provide video communication solutions that promote nationwide telecommunication functional equality.

"Paul's passion and advocacy for deaf and hard of hearing individuals fits perfectly with Hands On VRS' commitment to break down communication barriers," said Ronald E. Obray, Hands On VRS founder and president.

"Hands On VRS' long-standing commitment to providing effective and enhanced communication technologies to the deaf and hard of hearing community parallels the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act," said Singleton. "I look forward to working with the national and state associations and state and local government agencies to ensure their constituencies have access to Hands On VRS' free high-quality telecommunication services, including the highest quality English and Spanish ASL interpreters, audio conference calls and superior technical support."

Singleton was one of the founders of Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Government (DHHIG), Inc., a non-profit employee resource organization focusing on federal, state, and local government employees who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech disabilities. Singleton served as a Vice-President of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Board of Directors where he helped lead NAD through a reorganization process. Singleton has also been active in promoting increased employment of deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the Federal government.
